It's not the first time something has leaked out that turned out to be true. Having said that, there have been false rumors spread around long ago as well.
The best way to react to it is to simply screencap it for future reference, and see whether they were right or not. Only time can tell, in this case.

Well, could have the title refer to Dash writing Fan fiction of daring do and talking about it constantly when she runs into daring do, with a contrast between what dash THINKS happens and what actually does.
