Except for the fact that that has no bearing on how she was in her first episode. There was no reason for her to give up her beliefs. Her destroying the world stemmed from her trying to get revenge on Twilight for ruining her community, and repenting for doing that didn't mean that she had to abandon her old ideas. Plus now she refers to her old ways as "evil" which doesn't do justice to her being a grey character in her first episode. Plus she's just boring now.
