I know this is tantamount to blasphemy around here but Weaver did a couple of good jokes but the vast majority was corny sex gags, he can't draw for toffee and he has a depressing habit of leaping on whatever new bandwagon comes along. I ain't saying he's bad, he's given me a few yuks - but he's not as god tier as some of you people seem to think he is.

You're mistaking a simple style for a lack of talent. I've seen a few drawings he made that weren't in the usual quick sketch-comic style and I recall them being very good. Don't know if I could find them to post at the moment, though, since there's so much to go through.
