So you or the show staff say that EQG happened in the MLP universe. That's just words. Unless one of the charecters in the show explicitly mentions something that is unmistakably a reference to the movies, then EQG is not canon to MLP. The show staff's words and statements have literally no canon value, unless they are backed by something that actually happens in the show.
