Soarindash remains as one of the strongest straight ships in the fandom right now. It got big, numerous and loud fans because it also has been around for so fucking long. The fact that Soarin' has extremely low screentime also helps. Trust me, if during TBNE Spitfire had given hints that they're fuckbuddies, soarindash would had been killed right there on the spot.
Nearly all of Mane6 straight ships (that come from times when straight shipping was rare or made just for the hell of it) have been destroyed. FlutterMac is a ridiculously sad case because their ship was sunk not once but TWICE: First with Fluttercord and then with MarbleMac. Yet there are still few people that keep at it. It's depressing, really.
