I'm sick of the negativity surrounding the comics, so lets have a positive thread!
Some of the comics have been great.
And I will say this, Andy Price and Katie Cook were at their best at comedy and slice of life, not epic adventures.

Don't know why people keep hating on the comics. I haven't read any past #23, but I remember like the first 11 being pretty fucking solid. Seriously, if MLP was anything past it's normal age demographic, the early chapters show how it would play out. Also be glad that the comic is written by people with similar interests to us.
Main problem is characterization, but that's summed up to the comic's own canon. I don't think they are bad, but some are kinda meh.

So has comic quality dropped tremendously since ~15? I enjoyed the fuck out of the first few issues, I hope it isn't complete garbage now.

I liked the Diamond Tiara and Silver spoon issue, that's the only Jeremy Whitley comic that I like of the ones I have read.
I didn't like the one about Trixie and Babs Seed in Manehatten, that one was boring.

The comics having a larger range of quality, with some being good and others being awful, so people jump on bandwagons, especially now with that Whitley guy.
One of the best comics being the ones where Rarity and Applejack travel across equestria, one of the worst being the the one about the cattle rustlers, and one that was fun but having serious flaws being the mirror-verse arc. All three of those were Katie Cook and Andy Price, so you can see they kinda represent the quality range of the series as a whole.

Ponyville Days was OK.
And from what I have read of 'Don't You Forget About Us' (just the first issue), that was alright too.
Also, Fiendship is magic and friends forever comics seem to be doing better than the main series.
Like the 'Twilight and Pinkie Pie' issue was great. So was the 'Mayor Mare and Applejack' issue.

They could've chosen a much better pairing. I think Applejack and Rarity would make the most sense. Not saying it actually makes good sense, just seems like the best choice if it had to be the Mane 6.
Also, why not just make Lyra and Bon Bon an actual thing and get that out of the way. That keeps the story normal and doesn't change the plot drastically like Rainbow x Flutter does.
