Why is it that almost nobody listens to the investor conference calls? I mean at least stop by the thread to check out our analysis. Revenue from the show last quarter matched a quarter last year where they recorded a huge streaming deal with Netflix. And toy sales still grow consistently every quarter. Canceling the show now might run the risk of violating their fiduciary duty to shareholders to make money.

The channel is probably making them money, because the deal includes a percentage of sales on the Hasbro toys featured on the channel.
How that royalty is calculated is not disclosed, but Hasbro already paid off the minimum obligation a few years ago - so the push for new content on that channel isn't so urgent.
The 2021 date is when an option for Hasbro to sell their stake in the channel opens up. It's in their interest to keep the channel afloat until then, but this channel really is a small time operation and there isn't a whole lot to lose on it.
