Starlight Glimmer is still working on developing her interpersonal skills, particularly in greetings and making good impressions. Or second or third impressions, for that matter. It's an ongoing process, though, and even if she's prone to action before thought, she's trying her best. Befriending Trixie must have been rather exciting, then - even if things didn't pan out completely as first expected. But she's continuing to grow her own circle, and hopefully she'll get to keep in touch with them, too.

Rarity cosplaying as Luna hanging out with Luna cosplaying as Rarity.
First of all, MLP should've ended after season 3, since Twilight learned all important stuff about friendship. After massive success they spent a season for twilight to get used to the new world, some generic stories and tried to set up a progression with the rest of the mane6 "showing their true element", by doing the right thing, not the easy thing, like AJ telling an inconvenient truth, Fluttershy being hard, RD sticking to the losing teams for loyalty's sake and so on...
The missions in season 5 made sense in terms of the overall story, but didn't work as standalone episodes. It was just these general problems solved by only 2 ponies of the mane6.
Side characters saved season 4 and 5, but they finished the CMC line and the episodes used the side chars more than the chars used the time to show depth. Despite maybe Luna, her struggles with her past but also her care for restless ponies is so great and new and is a great addition to her initial problems in season 2.
SG is the new Twilight 2.0, she matures and faces quite a few problems that lonely teenies face, like choosing the "right" friends, sticking up to the lessons of their authorities, overcoming being the buster in high school or whatever. Inb4 fight with Moondancer over Sunburst!
Unrelated: To all Cadence Cuckdence fags, Cadence only took in Shining Armors dick, unless Chrysalis cast a spell on his semen, the baby is fine, however, Chrysalis could give child to her own royal baby and proclaim that her bastard son should be the new ruler, if Cadence' baby is female. Literally Game of Hooves.
