“Why in hell were you attacking ponies?”
>”Attacking?! I was just having some fun!”
>You restrained yourself from laying into the silly beastie for causing this much havoc, both for ponies and lamia. Still, the look on your face probably made it pretty obvious just how hard you were trying.
>She eased herself down from the branches of the tree, her sinewy length coiling around itself, dark and light bands rippling and gleaming in the sunlight filtering through trees.
>The tightness of her coils and the way she tried to bury herself under them made you feel a little sorry for her, but it was hard to shake annoyance off quite that quickly.

Oh nice, cool to see this thread is up and somewhat running again, I see some of the veteran writers/doodlerz even paid a visit. Just a heads up- no green today, as I was fixing the front end on my truck.
However, I had an omen come to me after I had finished and had sat down for a beer- my nephews came to me crowing about having found a snake. Knowing I love sneks, they took me to it, and lo, what do I find but a perfect little western plains garter snek, chilling near my tire.
Pic not mine- I didn't have a camera handy, but that's what it was, and being me, I quite happily picked it up. No hissing, no venting, no defensive posture; snek just sorta flicked its sniffer and eyed me a bit as I admired its scales.
Let it go in the deep grass to keep on hunting.
It was a good day.
