That's be a good twist, having an episode end where Discord accidentally screwed something up and tries his best to apologize to Fluttershy only for her to reject him and how sick she is of all his failures. She tells him she never wants to see him again and a dejected Discord poofs away to parts unknown.
We then hear voices coming from around the corner and it's Fluttershy and the rest of the M6 wondering where Discord is, looking on at the spot where he and "Fluttershy" had been moments earlier and now stands a single, unassuming pony. The M6 continue on their where looking for Discord, none the wiser as the random pony shape-shifts into a changeling and buzzes off to rejoin the hive after successfully neutralizing a major threat.
