Highly unlikely. That bridge has been burnt from both ends. Hasbro couldn't deal with the creative being restive about getting reigned in, and Faust couldn't deal with watching the world and characters she created be turned into something other than what she'd planned for them. Neither party would go for it.
That said, we still get a peek into that world and those characters, which is the only reason we're still on the ride. I really hope this wasn't the peak of her career arc, and she finds the next thing that will blow us all the fuck away. She's not lacking in the inspiration and talent departments, but finding projects that are the right fit and are going to get the right exposure is a total bitch for a creative. I wish her luck.

It's not bleak, but I think for Lauren it was pretty emotional. Her dream job and labor of love became so much of a nightmare that she quit after one season. And it was a hit. That's a lot to deal with.
I've actually been through something similar. And I would consider going back if a second act were offered to me. But I'm nowhere near as sensitive as Lauren. That's her virtue and her vice. The level of attachment she puts in translates to some of the feeling you get from watching it. You can't have one without the other. She's at her best when she feels her work is not just good, but it reflects the values she holds dear and could actually be responsible for some good in the world.

It was interesting, in BABScon, not in the Horsenews interview but the public panel, she said the main reason why she left MLP wasn't about any conflicting vision of the show, but that the workload between distance from the studio, and twice as fast work schedules than what she was used to, among other things became ultimately too demanding for her and she couldn't handle the pressure.
She said the position she had over the production was amazing and holds it something similar to a dream job. She said all she wants in a show production position is to be free to think up whatever she wanted first before she had to face the limitations of budget and official demands so she had room to work around it later on.
