They're called "Mane 6" for a reason. Just because some get more attention/episodes than another doesn't mean they're made to be replaceable.
I actually want seventh element. Kinda like "zwerge-cyclop stereotype" race, which forged majority of artifacts, now have to forge the 7th element. And mane 6 + Stalinlight have to travel across Equestria to gather ingredients for it. Maybe then we will finally have some adventure episodes.

Every student must "graduate" at some point, and with her being friends with the M6, I wouldn't be surprised if she acquires whatever new powerup they get in the future as well.

There's really no reason to REPLACE anyone, Starlight is just an additional main character but If they HAD to I think the only option that could really work is Fluttershy. She just seems to add the least to the group and she's clearly been the character the writers have always had the hardest time coming up with things for her to do and learn that are actually new. Unfortunately her archetype is kind of inheirently more limited than the others.
