What? Does enjoying a price of media automatically make you part of a fandom now? The game was fantastic (I even did a cosplay as Mr. Jefferson recently) but doesn't a fandom require a medium size following that makes up a bunch of fan shit and theories? Buffy the Vampire Slayer was less popular than MLP is, and still has an active fandom (at least 2 separate forums with daily posts from multiple users, still producing comics) 13 years after the series aired its last episode.
In the 16 year period between 1983 and 1999 when no Star Wars movies were released, there was still an active fandom.
MLP fandom isn't dying anytime soon guys. Even if season 6 and the movie are the last new content we get, a fandom of this size is likely to remain active for at LEAST another 10 years.
