Standing model is legit work, yo. At least it's "legit" as far as artists go.
It's also surprisingly tiring, you have to maintain the same pose for very long periods of time and resist the jitters. Usually it's something like model for 5 minutes, take a break, model for 10, break, and only then is your brain is in the proper mental state that you can pose for extended periods.
