It's gonna end on a happy note. Sunshine, rainbows, the whole nine yards. If it's not a reminiscing episode, it will probably have a conflict similar to MMC or The Best Night Ever, where there isn't a villain per se, but the conflict is related to friends and love and life and destiny and whatnot. They may possibly pull a two-parter with a villain, and Starlight proves herself or something. I say Starlight because the show isn't really about Twilight anymore, nor are the EqG movies.
My hope is thatIt ends with the Elements of Harmony book from the very beginning closing.

Lets assume that MLP:FiM targets 5 year olds and up. At what age this average 5 year old will abandon ponies entirely for something else? Lets assume at age 15. That gives us 10 seasons of content after which there is no reason to create new content, since reruns are sufficient.

I'm more interested in what happens when a VA quits, dies or gets fired.
Will they make up an excuse to make the character leave? Do they discreetly marginalize her speaking roles and use the occasional pre recorded dialogue? or do they replace a major VA and pretend nothing happened power rangers style.

It really depends on how G5 is executed. I imagine Hasbro would wait a good amount of time before doing yet another reboot but if they end G4, the time will come lads.
