I've downloaded every single episode in 1080p and color corrected. I get them off of Yayponies. They're usually available on Monday or Tuesday after the episode has aired. I've only started doing so after Hasbro started taking down episodes on YouTube. I was basically like "So you're taking down episodes, Hasbro? Well, fuck you, now I'm going to download every single one of them!". And so I did. I started doing it in November 2012, apparently. I've also got all comic books and all the EqG movies.

I follow a very strict ritual when it comes to watching and downloading episodes. Firstly, I always try my very best to watch the episode on a livestream. If for any reason I'm not able to do that, I'll watch it at the very latest one hour after it has officially aired. I'll say that 90% of the time I'm able to watch the episode on a livestream. After watching it once on a livestream, I'll watch it exactly two more times when the 1080p version is out on YouTube or Dailymotion. Then I'll wait until the color-corrected 1080p version from iTunes is available on Yayponies and then I'll download it from there. After having downloaded it, I may or not may not watch it again, depending on how much I happen to like that episode. There is only one episode in the entire show that I have only watched once on a livestream and never rewatched ever since and that is Princess Spike because that episode is fucking terrible.
After watching the episode 3-4 times within the first four days I usually don't watch the episode anymore unless it's an episode I really like (e.g. Crusaders of the Lost Mark, which I rewatch once a week).
I have been watching the episodes on Bronystate in the Twilight Sparkle room since May the Best Pet Win, if I remember correctly. I joined the fandom when Lesson Zero had just aired, but Sisterhooves Social was the first episode I watched on a livestream. I watched the first few episodes on Haxmega's stream before switching to Bronystate. At times I try another stream, I've also watched the episodes on Poniflix about three times, but I don't really like it. Bronystate's chat may be autistic as fuck, but at least it's reliable. I remember that Bronystate was taken down by a DDoS attack at least twice during a livestream, though.

Frame interpolation is personal preference. Most of the time I think it looks like garbage. MLP was made at 23.976 (technically) / 24 Hz (shorthand)
Load up the start of S05E14 Filli Vanilli on a 24 fps / 23.976 fps compatible display. Watch Fluttershy walk in perfect time to the music. TVrips don't get 24 Hz, and same thing if your computer monitor doesn't support 24 Hz. (Most TVs from the last 6ish years support 24 Hz, but sometimes you have to specifically enable it, and make sure your PC / Blu-Ray player can output that.)
It's absolutely not a placebo, btw -- it's immediately obvious that 24 Hz is the way to go, if you have any sense of rhythm. Winter Wrap Up, I'll Fly, Art of the Dress, etc.
Movies are made at 24 fps as well. Any time the camera pans in MLP or a movie, and you have it set to 24 Hz, you realize what you've been missing. Every frame appears an equal amount of time. Under a 60 Hz scheme, you get "2:3 pulldown", which means some frames display for longer than others, and the rhythm is thrown off.

Depends on what's being animated. Flash animation can have a few keyframes and the rest just interpolated motion (in the flash program, different than what I said above). I just checked the Filli Vanilli opening frame by frame and it moves at 24 fps, not 12. There aren't doubled frames.
Some of Fluttershy's motion is doubled, but other parts of her (wings) move at 24 fps.

I forgot the details but I know it will take a LOT of time. Big file size and mostly lack of peers. Took me a month to get all 4 seasons downloaded at that time before S05 aired. S01 1080p60 has 0 peers. Over a month so I gave up.
