6 hours is long but hardly painful. Especially if you have someone else's brain to pick or something to look forward to.
When you get to the double digits it starts to get draining. Drove 12 hours with a friend to get to Canterlot Gardens in 2012. We decided to do Nightmare Nights instead the following years. 7 hours was much more do-able.
Maybe living in the midwest I have a higher tolerance to long road tips because I would -enjoy- 6 hours with just about any pony.
