The ending seemed a bit like it fizzled after what happened when I first got to it, but reading it more, it feels kind of like life in a way. Not everything builds up to some crazy climactic head, and sometimes life continues after an experience like that and you have to carry that weight. At least, that's what it felt like to me after thinking it over a bit.
But if you feel the need to rewrite it, I can't exactly stop you.
