Comfy. It was comfy. Something about a dark sky, white snow, and small cottages makes for a comfy setting. No villains, just a big blizzard. Baby Flurry Heart was cute, at least. Got to hang around the Crystal Empire some more, which is cool.

Yes, he shouldn't. He really works well when he is a secondary character to play off of a primary focus, and his presence as a voice of reason is a lot more pleasant that way imo.
Of course, Spikefags want him to be a focus for whatever reason, but I think he does fine in roles like the premiere and similar situations.

Fucking hell, it was really shittly done. I grasp they need plenty of exposition at times, not everyone watching watches it as intensely as we do. But they could have written it with more tact and skill.

2/10 pretty boring and exposition heavy. Almost everything was literally just spelled to the viewer.
The fucking snow was useless and didn't give a sense of tension, the baby was awful and conveniently destroyed 2 major elements and the fact that Starlight/Spike only noticed the snow by seeing Spike's breath fucking pissed me off. Really, they couldn't just see the snow piling up or just feel it was cold?
It was terrible written, but at least we've got some good moments with Starlight and Spike.

Objectively speaking, it probably was only a 5/10 episode, because the Starlight/Sunburst plot and the Flurry Heary plot were merged together, hindering each other.
However, personally, I loved the Starlight/Sunburst story a lot, and Flurry Heart was still adorable enough for me to give an 8/10.
