Oh by no means! It's just...boring. The staleness of the writing killed it, the film is not as enjoyable as Rainbow Rocks, and it continues the trend of trying to show that you should be popular. There are some nice things about it though, but Haber's writing is too simple and lazy. The songs--while good--are not as impressive or as energetic as Rainbow Rocks, but try to nonetheless. This is what Josh Haber's Rainbow Rocks would've been I think. It's trying to get spunk and a young attitude, but he writes it very blandly. THe villain (Prinicipal Cinch) is just mean for the sake of being disliked by the younger viewers of the film. And as much as I like Sci-Twi and her character, I still get the feeling that it's just an excuse to make the little girs at home go "Oh, look! She's pretty but she's the outcast! We should like her!"
It's not bad like Equestria Girls, but it fails to be fun and enjoyable in the way Rainbow Rocks was.
