Well I actually liked it. I thought the interactions between Spike and Starlight were fun. Even Starlight and Sunburts's confrontation was kinda fun, maybe borderline cringy but the kinda cringy you like.
Basically the same as the rest of the show. I think people saying it's worse are just doing so to fit in with the crowd, in all honesty. Because the whole "brony fad" is dying down they feel the need to follow. When really the only reason people have stopped liking the show originally was because they have short attention spans, moved on to the next "thing" along with everyone else (Steven Universe, Undertale, etc.)
Lookin forward to see what else they do with Glimmer 2bh
Baby stuff was silly and fun. Spike, Starlight, and Starlight's husbando were all decently done. 8/10.

It hit solid ground. Glimmer is enjoyable as a character and is capable of success, unlike fluttershy. It looks like Glim Glam is going to be a permanent member of the Mane(7)
And the baby was handled...as best as it could be. The opener was more akin to a slice of life episode with two parts. I hope we get more of them. the extra time diffidently helped Glimmer
come out as her own character.

Glims personality got sent straight to the /trash/ and was replaced with seasons 1&2 twilight, but all glims self confidence was removed, leaving her a little more autistic, but not having autism is a rare quality for any of the ponies (or those who watch the show)
Deus ex Mcbaby was just plain shit tho. I imagine when coming up with ideas for the character they started with a blank sheet of paper, and then I just assume they didn't have any toilet paper, because by the end of the day the most productive thing they'd managed to put down was a fat smear of canon conflicting human shit (continuity is important in all shows, even ones made purely for toy promotion, which was also a heavy influence upon the creation of baby Mcfucky, so when previously stated information about alicorns is contradicted just for this one time character it's annoying af. It just shows a faithful un-commitment to your source material)
Finally as everyone keeps saying spike was well done for once, cute and, not funny, but normal.

The baby alicorn is treated like the 2nd coming of Jesus (with glow and everything)... the bad 2nd coming of jesus... where everyone dies kind. She brings ruin and devistation to everyone. On easter weekend too of all timings. Episode was terrible, and ends with "House" tier ending where a revelation happens and a character suddenly knowing everything they need to know to solve the problem.

For a premiere it wasn't good. I would put it as the 2nd worst premiere 2bh, very close to the S4 premiere which was also kind of weak.

Starlight thought that Sunburst had become some bigshot because he got into Celestia's school and she was beneath him. Made worse by her actions later on turning meeting him into an outright phobia.
