It really depends on your outlook. If you have been thinking the show has been going downhill for the last X amount of seasons, then yes, she is going to be yet another jumped shark. Then after that every other episode after that is going to be either another jumped shark or a complete and other waste of time that has no inherent value one way or another.
If you don't think that way, then it's likley a matter going to be a matter of taste. The premise itself relies on the situation being ridiculous to an extent, so if you like a little ridiculousness and levity then this is probably going to be a thing that you'll like, or at least it won't be outright offensive to you. If you're more a fan of the simpler slice of life stuff then whether or not you like it is probably just going to be a crapshoot depending on the form of the writers for that episode.
My advice is that you go in with a positive outlook and try to enjoy it for whatever it ends up being. Then if you can't do that for whatever reason, I would seriously recommend that you leave and reconsider your life choices.

The fact that I predicted the shows demise before and was mistaken assuages some of my pessimism. I was convinced that Twilight getting wings was the end, season 3 had been worse than season 1 or 2 and it ended with that Alicorn bullshit. And yet season 4 was an improvement on season 3 and season 5 was better still.
Aside from that I can't see the baby ruining the entire series unless Twilight adopts it or some shit since in all likelihood it will only make one or two appearances a season.
