Yes. She was right. It all worked out after she got her way, just like in that buffalo episode where the answer was obvious. Those sort of episodes suck because the conflict seems forced, but in this episode fluttershy did a poor job of expressing herself, which is a character flaw, and that lead to the conflict taking longer to resolve.

It didn't make a lot of sense to me. AJ's position was that the bats were pests that would threaten her crops, which in turn threatens her livelihood. Fluttershy's position was that the bats love their families, or something?
Then almost as a throwaway line Fluttershy says that the bats would cause the apple trees to "grow stronger, faster" without any elaboration. I would think as a third generation apple farmer AJ would already know if this was true or not, but she seemed unconvinced.

When someone moves in uninvited and causes you trouble it is your right and duty to rise up and throw down. Balancing earnings and costs has been a struggle for AJ since season 1. The bats not only were monumental assholes but they also endangered the family they were taking advantage of. "The bats have families". So fucking what? They are asshole parasites and so are their kids. Fuck the fruit bats and fuck Fluttershy for demanding that someone else upholds her ideals and pays the costs. Not to mention that with plenty food and protection the bats will increase their numbers and menace more territory. If she liked the bats so much then she should had taken them in herself like rich asshole liberals should.
