For my part, I'll say SAYS. Yeah Spike was horrendous in this episode, but the chemistry of the mane 6 was 10/10.

While I think that was a flaw, the episode was siupposed to be a Slice of Life 2.0, the animators had fun making it and every pony supported Luna until the end.There I said it.
Equestria Games:
Spike had more balls singing the anthem than most people, bonus points for having a good plot device for the final scene in which he saves the day.

Hated it at first and I wanted to punch the rest of the mane 6 and Discord in the face because of those inside jokes......totally unbearable.
2nd watch.....
I decided to focus on Twilight´s point of view and it.....makes you feel empathy for her. It ended alright, and the 2nd part to the end it goes kinda better.
Hoofields and Mccolts. It's simply and predictable, but it's funny and the characters are very colorful and that's what brought me to the show in first place

Somepony to Watch Over Me
People were mad that Applejack was annoying in it, but the episode's not about her. It's about Apple Bloom and she was written great. The part where she's home alone was absolutely adorable and unless you have some stubborn hatred of her, it makes you feel for her and how suffocating her relationship with AJ can be. It served as a resolution to the conflict introduced in season 1's Bridle Gossip. That's anything but filler. Whether you think the ending's stupid or not, the good in the episode is enough to make it not deserve a place in the bottom 15 on every episode sorter thread. I seriously don't understand why it's so hard for this board to warm up to such a major character. I see people use "she's so boring!", but she has more development and personality than both of her friends combined.

Honestly, Coco could've been replaced by any other minor character and the result would've been the same. The pacing isn't exactly the quickest, and there's not much in the way of excitement. But, it's the only episode in S5 -- other than Hearthbreakers -- that brings me back to the S1 days. The interactions between characters is nice, as is the message of bringing the community together. The play scene is also rather heartwarming.

Magic Sheep wasn't so bad, the dream sequence was funny and i am glad they didn't went full retard with the mane 6 dreams, the only thing arguably bad with the episode is how much drama Luna was making, seriously you can slap a Linkin Park song in the background during the climax and it fits like a glove
Equestria Games could have been 10 times better if Spike wasn't so oblivious, i know he is a kid but i always saw him as smart for his age, at least smart enough to be aware of what is around him, i also give the episode some credit for making Spike dig his own grave unlike in Princess Spike where the universe hates him (fucking dragonsneeze trees)
What about Discord was funny at first, watching Twiggy not be in the right was a good change for once, too bad they fucked Discord's shit at the end, rather than Twiggy being the one learning the lesson

Filli Vanilli every time someone says bad about this it always relates to Pinkie Pie making Fluttershy feel uncomfortable. To me the story was about putting Fluttershy outside of her comfort zone with stage fright so the most timid one of ponyville could overcome her fears to develop a little bit as a singer. Fluttershy singing up on stage was a match made in hades long before the award winning antagonist Pinkie Pie shows up to amp yellowquiets already present dread with her hilarious over the top antics. If flutters did nothing but march up to that stage to slowly back away trembling it would of be atypical of her but not so fun to watch half a dozen times over. Some don't notice that Pinkie Pie IS deliberately being the Bad Guy here I think her watching Fluttershy hold back her talent would of been a worse outcome. Beyond that Flutterguy was a way for her to get involved with the quartet without her falling to pieces up on stage in front of every pony. In short Pinkie Pie did nothing wrong.

There is only one thing wrong with this episode besides Ponka's peformace, Fluttershy clearly singed before in front of audiences on multiple occasions, if stage fright really was part of her personality she wouldn't have been able to sing back on cutie mark chronicles (which obviously would take place before she learned her lesson) and arguably wouldn't sing during the musical segments through the show
Also Fluttershy learning how to be assertive yet again, for fucks sake

I don't think assertive is part of her nature there is assertive then there is Fluttershy. Stage fright is on a whole different level from singing to animals in a garden that Pinkie Pie sums up perfectly, intense.
I loved slice of life because I know it was just an excuse to fuck around and make a fun episode. I had a blast watching it and didn't take it seriously so I enjoyed it.

The One Where Pinkie PIe Knows, Baby Cakes, Daring Don't, and Games Ponies Play. I'm not going to pretend that they were some of the best episodes of the show or anything, but they were fun and funny, which is all I ever ask of this show.

People who watch episodes live apparently have a different disposition than people who watch it late.
Though personally the shift from "10/10, just roll with it senpai, it's fun," to "0/10 memes" or my personal hell "yeah, it's a fun episode, but it's not a good episode" really caught me off guard. I know general opinions on episodes change, but usually it doesn't happen so quickly.
