Is funny because Hasbro only insisted on pushing the Swan Boat as the official toy insertion. It was DHX and current writing staff WHO WANTED to make a story about Cadance foal and with that also give Hasbro an opportunity to make a toy around their idea.

I'm sure you're just shitposting, given your tone, but there clearly is no matriarchy. Equestria is most certainly gender-egalitarian, neither gender has been portrayed as advantaged or dominant, and both genders have been portrayed as equally capable with no enforced gender roles to speak of. We've seen ponies of both genders in all sorts of careers and positions, and so on, I've repeated this a hundred times.
The current alicorns are female, and if you want to be a pedantic shit you could apply one of the definitions of a matriarchal government to that, simply because of the gender of the head of state (also meaning the same definition COULD apply to the UK), but it's pretty damned clear that Equestria is not a matriarchy or patriarchy in any meaningful or societal sense, and given that alicorns are a merit-based position and such, it's guaranteed to be a position where any gender can attain it.
We may see a male alicorn in the show someday, but as I said above, Hasbro's marketing department determines that based off of profit, so who knows. In the mean time, the only reasonable course of action is to assume they could exist, not necessarily meaning that one is alive currently (Not impossible after Cadance appeared out of nowhere, though), but rather that there's no reason whatsoever to think that it would be restricted by gender.

Maybe the comics will do it someday, they're less beholden to being restricted only to what is most profitable.

course what I;ve heard from reviews is Celestia turned Cadance into an alicorn through her own magive. Which means now we have alicorns who can be born, alicorns that can ascend and earn it, and Alicorns who become alicorns because another alicorn liked them.
Personally, I have.
One, they're not marketing her as Princess Flurry Heart, but BABY Flurry Heart. They're maintaining that being a Princess is something that is EARNED, and not something you get automatically because you have a horn and a set of wings.
They're also showing that having a baby Alicorn for the first time in FUCKING EVER is a big deal, but also a big risk, considering that pony foals have instinctual access to their natural abilities. She can SNEEZE and blow a hole through a solid crystal castle with PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER, because she has access to that kind of power, being an alicorn. Hell, it looks like she's the indirect cause of the problem for the premiere.
I LOVE that they're putting thought into this, and showing that Alicorn or not, no baby is gonna be a perfect little angel.
