So as I said the other day, I finally started to catch up on the show again via Netflix, and I'm a bit sad I missed out on discussing all the new episodes. I ended with the CMC getting their Cutie Marks and, Goddamn man. Why couldn't MMC have been like that? That whole fucking episode just kind of got to me.
Anyway, watching the little poners made me realize that my CYOA's have really been straying from what made me fall in love with them. I didn't get into MLP for big monster battles, obtuse puzzles, and long "complex" storylines. I got into it because it charmed me by doing its own thing. I think my games need more of that. I realize that must sound funny considering one of my games is built around a dark-and-edgy secret government facility that's designed to gradually break the MC's mind as an Eternal Darkness-style in-game feature, and the other game stars an MC so foul-mouthed, ill-tempered, and generally un-pony-like that it's only by the grace of plot armor that she's notyetshitting out Wendigos, but the more my current CYOA's go on, the less keen I've been on continuing them, and now I think I realize why: I'm not burnt out, per se. I love making pone content! But that's not really what I've been making. It's sort of been happening with Tinepone (and recently FiT, funnily enough), but after marathonning 9 episodes in the space of a few days, I see that my MLP CYOA's need much more 'MLP' than they presently feature.
TL;DR: I run my CYOA's for you, the player. So, player, tell me what you think would help put more pone into these pone CYOA's. It doesn't matter if you play Threshold, FiT, Tinepone, or none of them but you played a past CYOA of mine. Actually, you don't even need to play my stuff at all; if you just share my POV that maybe some CYOA's could improve from more of what you love about the show that brought most of you here, then please chip in.

I don't know about the others, but the Tinepone problem will kind of fix itself since we're pretty much done building. Next session only really needs a test flight and then we can hit the Everfree for some quality pony adventuring. All that's left is the recharge circuit, and that can be delayed since we're not going to drain the battery in a day with our meager electrical requirements.

Why would Dandy go seek outDr. Pinionwhen the players only ever do what's on his schedule and then go home? In the time before /cyoa/, such uninstructed interactions would be met with cries of 'railroading' and 'do the next thing in the obviously pre-set story.' As far as I can see, most CYOA players only grab onto the nearest plot hook and totally ignore everything else, and trying to nudge them in any other direction usually results in resistance if not outright hostility. Or, in worst-case scenarios... Well, you guys know all the memes. I haven't had a chance to play Threshold, so I can't say much for it.
Tinepone is beautiful. In terms of feeling and art, both Tinepone and actually FiT both feel pretty well fitting in with the actual show to me. It could just be the actual presence of Ponyville and the occasional glimpse of the main characters, but I always felt like you've done exceptionally in capturing the bright colours and cheery vibes you might find in Ponyville proper. And not just in your art, but your writing as well.
Except that one time a griffon killed us of course. Because of course things don't really die on screen in the show.
But for reals, it's never really felt too distant from the show while playing those two quests. (Again, can't speak for Threshold.)
If you did want to "Encourage" more character interaction with canon characters, or something else to tie it more closely to the show, I certainly wouldn't mind. But I don't see it as necessary, since what you have is already so good.
