How can you brag about having gigabytes of images? You can do what I do and move all your images to a cloud service like dropbox or google drive and then deleting them from your tablet afterwards, so the only way to access the images is to log in to the could service every time.
Also, I would recommend buying a cheap laptop. You can get some good used ones off of ebay for $100-200. I listened to /g/'s thinkpad meme and got a used 2011 thinkpad for $150.

Not an issue for me. Catalog is pinned tab, but on launching the browser it opens my home page in a new tab.
I can't even activat private mode, everything is set as in private mode by default.
As for the oorn, it's very simple. When I'm done, I move all the sauce to a thumb drive I dedicated to.
