Hi, I've recently got my interest in this show renewed. I had stopped watching mid-season 4 because of lack of interest in the show. (I've been keeping updated through the porn, which was still A-OK)
I was wondering how watchable the new episodes are compared to s1, s2 and s3, knowing that theyve changed around writers and whatnot a bit since then. What are peoples' opinions in the direction the show has gone?

Okay, good to know. In my opinion, Ive always liked s2 the best. Ive pretty much accepted that there is no way any new episodes could match the way I felt about the show getting into it the first time.

Just for clarity, s3 is ranked lowest for me but I didn't 'hate' it.
I noticed you mention dropping off mid-way through s4. If it was because the episodes were boring, I believe the consensus of the board is s4 picks up a little better in its second half.
And no, you will never feel the same way about the show as you did when you were first watching. But it's best to leave that expectation behind and just watch the newer seasons without grading their episode quality against how you use to feel. You won't come to like it since most episodes will not live up to that.
