Besides, I don't think Sunny is completely gone from the story, on the contrary, I believe we'll see more of her along with Pinkie and Sugarcoat because of this unpredictable result of events. Well, at least that's what I think, but anything can happen, so we'll just have to wait and see.

The Continent is confirmed!
So, we know for a fact that it is not Kovir. We know from films, that Canterlot High is located in the suburbs, and Crystal Prep in the city's center. The city also is quite big from what I can make out of movies.
We also consistently have mountains in the background. Of course it is likely at least half a millennium passed between "The Witcher" series and "nowdays" of EQG, but looking at Europe we can predict that most distinct countries and ethnicities remain today. I'd also make a prediction that climate in EQG would resemble "average US", so I'd say it would be to the south of at least Redania and Kaedwen.
So, where do you think the story is taking place?
I, personally, would stick with Temeria and Liria, and a city at footholds of Mahakam mountains.This leaves me with Rivia.
Alternatively we can go with Ban Ard, which had a Kaedweni Magic Academy, and too is situated at the foothold of Blue Mountains.
Or some city that was founded after the "Witcher" canon.
