I've since refused to pick up prompts, because so often I'm the only one who does and the rest of the time the thread's kept on bump lifesupport. Or it fucking dies a couple hours after my last update. I can't decide what's worse: being stuck with full responsibility for keeping a thread entertained, or getting zero interest in something that it just dies.

I dislike leaving something unfinished thanks to how often I see that complained about. But at the same time it makes me self-conscious that what I was writing wasn't good enough.I lurked AiE for years before even considering posting something I wrote, I'm terrible with that confidence thing.

Are you literally me? Except that it wasn't actually my personal fetish, I ended up becoming the only contributor for one and just couldn't keep up anymore. I let it die a slow and painful death as they kept making it wondering when the writefag was going to come back. I have the weight of a handful of disappointed anons always on my shoulder now whenever I do post a story, wondering if I'm going to be a let-down yet again this time.
