I think she would enjoy the regal-ness and whit of Holo. As for Revolutionary Girl Utena, I think the beauty and care taken to show the characters as somewhat royal, the themes throughout the show of a woman who is out to show the world who she is and isn't afraid to do her thing, and the prince charming problem that Utena went through would strike a cord, plus the drama through the show would help.

Both are slow-paced, warm hearted shows that are full of compassion and kindness for others the level I haven't seen in many anime. I guess it'seems easier to show when the characters are kids and their parents.

For shonen, Dragon Ball Z is absolute shit to the highest degree. It is the most simplistic show where they stretch episodes which mostly useless dialog and yelling. If you are talking about Dragon Ball, that is a fine show. If you want something that does a much better job than Z, try watching Yu-Yu Hakusho up to the Sensui arc. Everything past Dark Tournament goes bat shit insane.
