is "Berrow getting the S5 scripts early and referencing them before the actual epsiode air"
No one in DHX read the books, the only difference between Berrow and Cook or Whitley is that the former get early access to the episode scripts while comics either only get the synopsis or they just make a comic after seeing the episode on tv.
Both comics and books are licensed by Hasbro in the same way, and both of hem are pretty much non-canon shit.
