I worked under a friend in a law firm who handled copy right infringement in books and other writings. I helped him comb over works to find similarities in the two works and to see if one was ripping off another. Most of the time the similarities where so small that i just told him to just drop the case and the copy right holder was just trying to grasp for money. I only had one case i remember where this guy had written a short story for the local paper or something and he got his line completely ripped off in a small book that got published it was something about hiking I believe. Regardless he got like 5 grand from the case.

I haven't been here in 10 months. That's when I left my former apartment and ended up in the middle of nowhere with an almost non-existent internet connection, completely unable to watch the show even trying to browse 4chan was a nightmare.

My dad is going in for back surgery tomorrow.
He's 76, and the surgery is gonna be pretty risky because of it. He's got a shitron of pressure on the upper portion of his spine, so they need to remove and replace some discs and such. Problem is, he's on blood thinning medication, and he can't stop taking it for the surgery.
It's either the surgery, or another 5 years of back pain and degrading health leading to him becoming bedridden, or even dying...
