I understand the need for people to improve, but you forget the most important part drawing/art in the first place.

Well I've spent a lot of time gettin' gud - a lot of which was spent doing gesture drawings and drawthreads over the years. I suggest doing 10 minute gesture drawings, 5 minute ones, and then getting to the point where you can capture a whole pose/still life in about 2 minutes; pic related is a 2 minute gesture I did of Rainbow Dash. Once you're good at that, I then suggest doing quickpaints/speed painting where instead of doing a gesture drawing, you basically recreate and capture an image with blocking in colors, highlights, and shadows. I also advocate gesture drawing or at the very least getting familiar with the process. It'll keep you loose and it can translate to pone poses quite well.
I can't look at those videos but Glenn vilppu is an artist artist worth looking into when it comes to figure/gesture drawing. Proko is another.
