>You make your way to her and realize that she is looking up to the rain with a frown. She isn’t carrying an umbrella or wearing a raincoat, and so, in a strange moment of kindness, you decide to approach her and offer your help.
“It’s a real downpour, don’t you think?”

>You turn to the parking lot and search for your car. You spot it fairly quickly and, to your relief, it isn’t far from the entrance.
“Would you like me to drop you by? My car is over there.”
>You point towards it and she follows your finger to it. From the corner of your eye you watch as a bright smile spreads across her face and you blush slightly, looking back at your car.

>You take out your keys and unlock the car from a distance, the flashing of its lights signaling that you have done so.

>You wonder how a girl like her could have once been the bully and unspoken ruler of a whole school. She had never bullied you during those days, so you never actually experience first-hand how cruel she truly was, you only have other people’s experiences to go by.
>The ride is quick and uneventful, her house being only 8 blocks away from the supermarket. She points you to an old building, one which seems to be in a great state of disrepair. You park in front of it and frown, addressing Sunset once more.
“Are you sure this is the right place?”
>She doesn’t look back at you and sighs. “Yeah, this is it.”
>You can’t help but feel worry rise up inside of you at the sight of the place. Thoughts race through your mind as you begin wondering if she is forced to live with an abusive boyfriend up in a dingy apartment or even if she is actually poor and has no other choice but to stay in such a decrepit place. You notice her place her hand on the door and start to make her way out of the car. You grab her arm almost too eagerly.
“Hey, listen. Are you sure you are okay?”
>She looks back at you with an expression of worry that matches your own. It only makes you dread how much you might be right about her living conditions.
>”I’m fine, you don’t have to worry about me,” She gives you a strained smile. “I’m Sunset Shimmer.”
>You turn to the road but continue to hold her arm. It might be too sudden but even if it sounded weird, you wanted to make sure she was going to be okay, at least for today.
“You…” you pause for a moment as Sunset stares at you. You let out a breath and meet her gaze. “You can rest at my place for the day. No funny business or anything of the sort, just a kind offer from my part.”
