San Diego's first ever ponycon is tomorrow. Who's going? I was going to go but I'm out of town at the moment, so I'm hopping there'll be a thread tomorrow documenting the con from within.
Also San Diego has been taking a beat down from el niño so it's kind of a shitty weekend to have a con here.

No clue. San Diego usually has nice weather all year round, even in winter we get some nice sunny days, but it was still a risk to host it during winter. Especially with all the el niño build up everyone had been talking about.
