I think it's a good episode if you like Applejack. It showed a lot about her character flaws. Stubborn bullheadedness and the tendency to overreact about anything having to do with her family. She's usually not shown to be particularly vulnerable, this episode bucked that trend and gave us a glimpse inside her.
