If you go to Equestria, said pony won't be able to go with you. You will never meet him/her in Equestria and there is absolutely no way to bring him/her to Equestria. They will be alone in your world, your old life just as you left it. The chosen pony won't make it easy either, they will beg and do anything they emotionally can to try and stop you.
