Not all generals are made equal: generals that focus on a setting, event, or idea (AiE, Equestria goes to War, etc.) are fine, but ones that focus on a character or group (Nightly Twilight, Plane Pones, Batponies) are dogshit. There's nothing drawing green to those threads; and a thread without content is literally wasting the board's most precious commodity, which is space.
The show is not "going downhill" perceptibly. Faggots who decry the new seasons as bad fail to recognize that the show was even at its peak "good for what it is", it has never been "good". It was better when it started than it had any right to be, and still is. Complain when we get to G3 levels of bad.
EqG is total piss, but it does have some good songs spread out throughout it. The longer you complain about it, the longer people are going to focus on it, and the longer you'll have to put up with it; if you hate it so much, hide and ignore the threads.
