Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy are both from Cloudsdale - do they visit home, or get together for some shared remembrance? Rarity's the other native Ponyville resident of the adults, so her family might do things closer to how it's done on Sweet Apple Acres - or they might have brought in their own quirks, if her parents settled in from out of town. No telling what those could be, then. It might help to know what they do for a living and why Sweetie Belle gets dropped off at her sister's with some frequency. Maybe her dad was (and still is?) in the hoofball scene, judging by his cutie mark.
