Literally the only clue we got that something might be amiss was when she clearly pretended to fall unconscious with the finger pistols, but at least I interpreted that as flirting.

When we complimented the terrible rock soup, why did she approve of that?

It feels like a lot of wasted effort to act all nice, only to break the act the first time things don't go a hundred percent perfect.
Overall I get the impression that this characterization was not planned from the start but instead made up as you go along.
What consitutes a good ruse for me is when there are multiple in hindsight obvious clues that were blatantly ignored.
When instead it's like "Hey look, Marble was merely pretending this whole time", it comes off as extremely cheap.
I would usually be fine with that and stay quiet, since this is a CYOA, but if you're gonna pretend like it's this amazing ruse, I'll tell you it's not.
