I swear to the prophet this is the only place I see extreme prejudice towards EqG. In this very board I read a post saying anthro would.bring less shitposting and more discussion than EqG (wtf). Pretty much all other mlp places seem supportive or toleratent of it...

This, in a way. It's not so much their horse-ness, but more that their design is aesthetically appealing and their personalities are more 'pure' so to speak.
In EQG, their personalities are changed to fit in with the highschool trope, and their entire body is kinda like a shitty version of anime with odd proportions and skin colors.

The ponies also have some fucked up proportions compared to the real thing but I bet my last dollar you wouldn't want them to look more like the last generations which were much more horselike. As for the colors, they're analogues for ponies. They're pony colored so they resemble the characters like it was intended.
I like what it's done for green text tbqh senpai, it's a lot easier to write a humanoid character. Also the high school scene can open up a lot of previously unavailable story direction.

Most what I just said could be just R&D in a nutshell, which Hasbro doesn't know what they're doing. If they could switch up their R&D departments and factories, then they could have a better chance.

DESU I've seen people call it all sorts of things. Some people do call it anthro, some humanized and some just call it EG. But what is true is that it's part of the MLP franchise so you can't really ban it from the board. The anthro this website is familiar with isn't part of the franchise and is against one of the rules.
