Time does pass.
It was so satisfying to see Starlight caught in her own spell. If anything Twilight is OP, copying her spell like that.
>>25739006
OP is a faggot. Starlight is, and always will be, a better wizard.

With each new day, new fans come and old fans go. So there's bound to be an overlap in time where there are those who read the cupcakes fic, and those who have not.
Anyone up for some baked bads?

>There are people on here younger than me

I thought Party of One came first

The fanfic has been written somwhere in January 2011 and episode aired in April.
Cupcakes was based of a Pinkie's cupcakes song if anything.
>>25741225
I think the fanfic was written after the gilda episode.

And then she broke out of it faster than Twilight did.

I miss the times when Cupcakes was the worst thing about the fandom.

I miss the times when Cupcakes was the best thing about the fandom.

Party of One is still the most real episode in the show. Shit got real, yo.
There are people here who don't remember charlie the unicorn.
>>25741449
Plus it gave speed to differentiating Pinkie and Pinkamena as different characters, fandom-wise in their fanfics and fanarts.
>>25739042
Meh, I read it a while back just to see what the fuss was about, thought it was dumb. However I don't like fanfiction in any fandom period let alone edgy MLP ones. Always seemed bizarre to make something like MLP edgy in my opinion
>>25741472
The thing about it was that it was supposed to be a surprise factor. Overrated, sure. It lost steam the day it went too mainstream since being mainstream means it's spoiled the moment you see something along the lines of "oh god, that's as bloody as Cupcakes", similar to what happened to a very old Anonfic outside of /mlp/, My Little Dashie

>There are people here who don't remember when "A Canterlot Wedding" was called "Better than a Disney Musical, and with a better villain.

I'm sure Starlight knows her own spell.

Let It Go is the Friday of Disney's musicals.
On it's own, heard once or twice in the movie, it's alright.
After the third time hearing it, it just gets worse and worse.
Given that this seems to be most people's first experience with the concept of a meme, they've run it into the ground harder than the Call of Duty franchise.
