You really can't avoid being edgy when you honestly think the level-headed reaction to a defenseless person swearing is to kill them before they can "infect" Equestria with their curse words. Especially when ponies already have their own curse words (horseapples, ponyfeathers, etc.) anyway.

I also (same anon again) find the conception of ponies as helpless lambs who would be unable to deal with even a single evil human as being rather edgy in of itself. Even four random ponies from a podunk town were able to fly, manipulate weather (as all pegasi can do that even though Night Glider didn't actually take advantage of that during the Starlight chase) smash through doors, immediately create and launch projectiles with enough force to smash a wooden cart, use balloons to span a large gap almost instantly, and create a small avalanche powerful enough to bury a pony (or person) in snow.
I'm fond of referring to the scene in G1 where a squire with an almost buster sword-sized blade attacks G1 Spike, and the ponies' immediate reaction is to kick his ass, which they do handily.

but then there's the concept of intelligence, cunning, deceit, etc. Ponies are capable of the same thing, but who knows what a human can do with their knowledge of technology, along with a possibility of manipulating ponies with a silver tongue. We've seen that ponies can be gullible as all hell, so a human could easily manipulate that. start a rebellion? who knows. of course, there's flaws with this tactic, but humans are a variable with infinite possibilities if combined with access to magic.
with this in mind... yeah, I think this story is hopeless.

Yeah, but that happens with humans as well, with evil people spawning cults and rebellions just the same. Also, a modern human going into Equestria, whilst he WOULD have a technological advantage, wouldn't be like the Spanish conquistadors going into the Americas like you seem to be suggesting because pony technology isn't nearly as far behind ours as the Atzecs were behind the Spanish.
