G2 didn't have a cartoon, being an even bigger failure than G3. It got a pretty okay vidya I think, but that was it.

Not really, they went more or less the same route as G1 having some modern technology here and there but in an anachronistic fashion to help it better fit in the fantasy setting. Tales went full modern (at the time) and it just felt weird as a result.
