No, the repeat requests themselves don't tend to be the problem. Especially here on /mlp/ we've had a good track record with them. The problem arises when the OR starts acting like an asshole to everyone over it. An example of this is something that happens often on /b/ where the requester will spam threads and shitpost when people refuse to do their requests or shit on them.
So long as you're chill about it there isn't a problem. Also so long as you aren't bumping it every 5 minutes. It's fine to bump within reason or direct to it if a drawfag asks for requests. (although chances are if they're asking, they've already seen it)
Some notable examples of repeat requesters here have been, Braces anon, Crying Colgate requester, Ponies in hoodies, Ponies with tailbows, Ponies with piercings, Ponies hugging Plushies of the drawfag, and ponies inside anon's hoodie. Theses requesters have been chill about it.
Now the ones not so chill that were a problem, there have only be a few, these include; Powershy, Speedy, and the Goo ponies requester. One of these even had his requests and posts deleted on sight because he got so bad.

There were a few anons waay back in the past that would get shit on just for not being good. There was a point in time where people would shit on newbies and those trying to learn just because they were new, but then some drawfags set an example by giving more detailed critiques where even if they were harsh, they at least made points that the drawfags could use. Some like super specific, but most seem to like requests that offer more wiggle room. Usually sfw will be more likely to get attempts than nsfw, It's different from drawfag to drawfag, but most don't dive head first into drawing porn. Simple requests tend to get more attention as well. It never hurts to find out what drawfags like to draw.
There's nothing wrong with trying your luck with a more complex request if you have a good idea, but you have to keep in mind that the more complicated it is, the more patient you'll likely have to be.

Here's an old OC I've been roleplaying for nearly 4 years.
Pop-Rock is an interpretation of a Gen 1 concept pony in a Friendship is Magic era.
Any of you remember the first generation story of Applejack stumbling upon a cave full of blind ponies, ruled by an evil (presumably human) wizard? They were forced to hunt for gems. They'd been in the darkness of the mine so long, they'd gone blind. Applejack bodyslammed the wizard's crystal throne into the abyss and freed them. They wound up putting the gems into the eyes of the blind ponies, and for whatever reason, that let them see again.
Candy "Pop" Rock is an old, old stallion. Think 'Granny Smith' old. 'Ponyville has hundreds of years old traditions, but one of the founders is still alive' type old. However old it is, it's fuckoff ancient.
Another one of those jovial blind characters, the magic gems in his eyes allow him to see the magic in people, but 'for whatever reason' (narrative FIAT) nothing else. Understandably, sapphires stuck in your eyes is imitable and disturbing, so the ole stallion wears dark sunglasses so as not to disturb people he meets. Incredibly cryptic for an earth pony (technically 'Twinkle Eye', now) he knows a lot about magic and history for an old man that lives on a mountain east of Ponyville.

Been playing a lot of CoH2 lately, so I've been doing some stuff with pones using Soviet WW2 equipment.
Just finished colouring the characters and put down some base colours, but I'd appreciate a critique before I spend any more time on it. It's my second serious crack at colouring, and I've been following colour guides trying to match the show's style as much as possible here.
I know it's mostly just the heads visible here, but I originally wanted to put at least one of them standing on the wing wearing some kind of pilot gear. Unfortunately, I just can't seem to do non-quadruped poses without it looking fkd up.

The plane however looks a bit out of place in it's uniform color. Try adding a slightly darker tone to the inside of the cockpit as well as any surfaces facing to the left. Perhaps tinting the windows and adding a bit of shine to it.
I'd also exchange the propeller for one that looks like it's rotating (that classic circle thingy with stripes on the inside).
Generally, I'd say to look for reasons to mix in a different color at some parts of the plane.

I know this sounds stupid but do it anyway. You can't rely on motivation all the time. Sometimes you just have to force yourself to do something and lower your expectations. Just do ANYTHING creative that you used to without judging yourself or comparing yourself. Practicing stuff when you DONT want to is a sure fire way to start working on discipline, which is way move important than motivation. Discipline can be consistent, motivation cannot. Trust me, Its hard, but once you figure out how to work while unmotivated things will start improving.

Change the medium you use. I sketch in pen when I'm in a rut since it has a different feel and look to it. Another Anon suggested taking a shower. I prefer a nice, hot shower for at least 20 minutes personally.

A thousand times this. I get blocks all the time but they don't bother me anymore because I know I can work through them within a day or so. Understanding yourself helps. I know myself well enough that I can predict if I'm going to hit a roadblock and it lets me plan ahead. Drawing can be a psychological challenge.
Depression is a whole other can of worms if that is what you're going through since it's a sign that something in your life needs to change. If you're getting depressed because of your lack of motivation then the above paragraphs will apply to you. If it's depression due to something going on in your life then try to change it if possible. I can't pretend to know what you're going through so that's going to fall on you.
