Just came back from the future after I watched the movie, and I gotta admit, it was disappointing at best.
After season 6 time jumped several years, and Twilight became the main villain, I was hyped to finally see how she became "Big Horse", and the origins of Solid Sparkle and Liquid Sparkle. However, what we will get instead is a half finished movie that is good in terms of world building, and animation, but severely lacks in storytelling.
Pros.
>The switch to hand-drawn animation is absolutely fantastic, and is almost Disney-quality.
>The soundtrack is god-tier.
>The first half of the movie is amazing. Especially, the opening.
>The visuals are extremely stylized, and even the shitty parts are fun to watch.
>Fluttershy's story arch is sad as it is touching.
Cons.
>The second half of the movie is boring, and feels rushed.
>Spike is the main villain.

Its going to be a dissapointment.
Most of the plot will focus on Kristin Chenoweth's character with shocking little screentime for the Mane6. There'll be too much action scenes and not enough slice of life/interaction among the mane6. Pinkie will complete her Flanderization by doing nothing but making nonsequitar jokes and screaming. Most of the kids in the theater will laugh at this like Big Bang Theory fans while adult fans cringe.
