You know what? It doesn't matter whether the finale was great or disappointing. Season 5 showed us MLP can do amazing things, and with all that's changed lately, we have a lot to look forward to.

On a serious note, I bump this thread for we need more positivity. Never mind this season, but this whole year has seen a multitude of negative drama and events in this fandom. The likes which I have never seen before in the other fandoms I follow; never mind in my life (Oldfag here). I admit I was pretty lax through season four, even have a few episodes of season five I need to watch. However, this last half of season five was a real return-to-form why I feel into Ponies. I am not asking this place to became nor looking for a hug box. But a lot of the doom posting and dower autism is making "the ride" real jarring. Here is hoping /mlp/ gets back into more fun-filled revelry; from highbrow show discussions to lowbrow greentexts and fanarts.

Personally, I'm optimistic for S6. I've liked four out of five seasons so far, so I'm going to give season six the benefit of my cautious optimisim.
Although, desu, I kinda hope they don't spend too much time on the implied "Starlight as Twilight's apprentice" plotline. I'd be okay if they did the same thing for her as they did with Peewee. Showed us a few photos on the wall to explain that yes, it happened, and yes, it's over now, so we can all move on.
