Really though, I dont get why people like this guy.
He's had very little development beyond being a whipping boy for Twilight and Rarity when on loan, barring Dragon Quest and EQGamesand SAYS if you want to count it., and most of his episodes revolve around him fixing his own fuck-ups
People go on and on about his "potential", but we're heading towards our last season/movie and it hasn't been utilized in the few episodes he's gotten. Expecting something now is as big of a stretch as Celestia being useful for more than exposition.
I really dont get why people demand something great out of a side/secondary character or why they project onto him so hard.

Maybe it's a feeling that he didn't get his share like the other characters did. To be fair, neither him or Celestia did. Celestia not getting exploration was truly a shame.
Is he really a secondary character, though? He's around the main character so much that it basically makes him one by default, to the point where every Twilight episode is a Twilight and Spike episode now.
