Normally I take the raw list text generated from a ranking engine that Anons do one on one battles on that produces something like pic related, throw it into an Excel spreadsheet, run it through a marco which sorts it by season and episode number, then make the graphs at the end after I have all the lists I want to take in. Hardest part is adjusting the macro and references for all the formulas to be right. After that it's all just copy, past, and hit a button to automate the sorting.
Unfortunately I don't think I'd be able to use your data though cause it's based on a ranking between all the episodes instead of just a rating of 1-6. Thanks for the offer though. Yours is a lot easier to do than mine as well, so you'll get a lot more people in here I think. Mine took 45 minutes when I was kind of half trying and 666 decisions altogether.

I had the same problem with Hearth's Warming Eve when it premiered and I liked it a lot more after rewatching it a few times. Doing the same for you and this episode will likely yield similar results.

I was never a fan of reformed Discord. I hardly ever laugh at his jokes, and his obsessive jealousy in MNFBKD was just annoying me. The only things I remember liking about this episode were one or two Treehugger moments and Maud's "you're the most basic of jokes" line.

Mostly because I hate how much of an idiot RD was. I know it's generally not ooc for her, but this was the episode that made me put her last on my mane6 ranking whenever there's a thread about it. Even for RD, this was way too cunty and inconsiderate.
Also, the death comparison doesn't work at all since Tank only goes into hibernation and will be back later. It could've worked a little if they hadn't told her that he'll be back all the time, but they did, so it falls flat. Apart from all that I don't remember a single decent joke in the episode and the song was boring.
Everything just imho, naturally. If you like those episodes, more power to you.

Writing was never a strength of this show to begin with - many episodes can be called out on tons of almost objectively bad writing. I kind of liked some of it because Spike wasn't nearly as retarded as in SAYS or OWTEW and at least made a few understandable decisions.

Read again - it's a poor metaphor. It would've worked if the episode had delivered a bit on how to deal with the loss of a loved one and didn't mention the fact that Tank will be back all the time. If a loved one passes away, you can't tell yourself, "it's okay, he'll come back," to cheer up. They found a decent idea to work this topic in and then chickened out. That's why it doesn't work.

Bad characterization of Ponka (Not the first time, but the only time that outright ruins the episode). Also, it doesn't really make sense the Rarity and Big Mac are in a band together, yet this was never mentioned at all. Also, everyone just noticed that Fluttershy has this great voice, despite singing several times throughout the series, several times in front of the Mane Six and other ponies.
Flutters singing was nice, but the whole episode was a cheap ploy to bring back Flutterguy.

Princess Spike was a Spike episode, and those don't normally have a good reception. People are tired of him being beat up all the time I guess.
I wasn't as warm on What About Discord? at first, but Discord and Twilight making up at the end with her giving him a tiny orange turned it around and made it good to me. Other people seem to dislike it cause they're as lost as Twilight in that one I think, so it doesn't entertain as well as other episodes.

The lesson I think was one that Twilight needed to learn. Honestly it bothered me that Discord was purposeful punished for showing Twilight that she can get jealous just like everyone else.
Also the rest of the M6 were kinda full retard in this episode. The way literally every scene was them doing their inside joke and how they acted around twilight honestly left me thinking they were being mind controlled or that they were in on Discord's lesson.

That was done better in Dragon Quest where he chose his future himself and his character was defined by the actions he took, but that episode gets panned because the dragons weren't high-fantasy enough, or the focus was on teenage dragons, or the outcome was "too SJWish".
Meanwhile SoME breaks the hell out of those high-fantasy elements by forming a completely different way dragons can grow, features more character interaction between Spike and Rarity rather than character development for Spike (the development was there, but was hinged on this new greed=growth lore more than developing established characteristics) and was ultimately more fanwanking shipping fuel than it was a meaningful contribution to the character.
